New "Little Furry" Friends

OK, Today was basically another boring day today, I slept in, got a headache, got in trouble for not doing any chores because of the headache, and I had to feed the dumbs**t animals yet again. BUT this time was different...

Today when the sun was setting, the sky was turning dark very quickly and once again I forgot to feed the animals. So I got the work jacket, my favorite little hat, bucket of water, food, and my trusty flashlight, and I walked outside to the brisk cold wind blowing against my face. I was tired that day, I wandered aimlessly to the chicken coop to feed the chickens. Like always I can already hear them squawking as i'm getting closer to the door. Gets pretty annoying after a while just constantly hearing them squawk, makes you look forward to killing the annoying ones. (its not cruel, there meat chickens not pet chickens) When I got to the chicken coop I had to put down the food and water in the snow so I could unlock the door, I walked up the chickens ramp and I just turned the lock, no big whoop. Then I turned on my flashlight and swung open the door to scare the chickens so they could shut up for a couple of seconds. But what I did't see coming. Was a bunch of little dots scattering towards the walls and corners of the coop. It scared me alot because I did't expect it and I was so scared I misstepped trying to back off the ramp, I fell in a bank of really cold snow. The snow seeped in my collar and made my neck really cold. It sucked alot :P

But it was really interesting ya know! So I just had to get back up to see what I thought I saw was real or not! (lol :P) OKAH! So very slowly I edged in the chickens coop shining the flashlight slowly across the walls. And what I did see was true! It was a small family of dormant mice! At first I was scared and abit unease, but then when I thought about it, I thought it was cute. Its not like it was big f**king rats screeching with those small claws they got and messed up fur. Naw man, it was those cute little ones, all snuggled up together keeping warm with awesome little tails. I stood there with the flashlight. And pondering my thoughts, I had a small hypothetical story where they might had come from...

Before the winters, I did see 1 little dormant mouse living near the rabbit hut, but it was a open hut so if it was winter, mice couldn't live there. But since it wasn't, there was a small hole in the corner of the hut. And I thought it was funny watching it scurry around looking for food. So I fed it some rabbit pellets and usually every day I went outside to the rabbit hut, i'd feed it some every day! And since it was getting colder and must of had kids later on, they probably migrated to the chicken coop for warmth and junk. And I just saw them today! What luck! I told Mom about it and she freaked out, Mom told Dad about it and Dad just sat there watching TV. Ha. But hopefully they'll make themselves comfortable and hopefully I get more comfortable as well. Because I haven't been real close to the mice, but I bet they know me as a food supply so thats sweet and junk. :)
